Thank you for considering a custom made heirloom garment for your special child. Since we strive to make every order perfect for our customers, we ask you to please read through the following hints for placing your order.
Size
- You may use our standard measurements and simply select your
size from our chart or you may send us your custom measurements
if they are different from my chart.
- Please measure a GARMENT that fits your child that is of similar type to garment being made, constructed from woven fabric not knit or stretchy. If you measure your child, your garment will be TOO SMALL since your measurements do not allow for ease.
- The measurement code on the drawing is the same as on the order form, just match up the categories.
- Be sure to measure to the nearest 1/8”. Even a small 1/8” makes a BIG difference if the measurement is the one like the front yoke measurement where it determines the next size up sometimes.
- Please submit
any measurement that is
different from my chart. We can make minor alterations to size (longer, shorter length, larger sleeve band, etc.) however you must specify that you want
custom measurements at least by the time
you make your final payment.
- If you are not sure how to measure, you may send a garment that fits your child well and we will take the measurements from the garment and return it to you with the finished order.
Custom Design
We are glad to price a custom design for you when you specify the exact design you desire. Please help us to understand exactly what you want by using photographs, drawings, lists, order of placement of trims, and etc. We would rather you explain more than we need than not enough. Since we draft the pattern especially
for your child, you do not need to supply a
pattern. If you would like to have a
custom sketch of your garment before
production on it begins, there is a $50.00
charge for the sketch that will be emailed
to you in pdf format. The design on the
sketch is copyrighted by Maggie Heirlooms,
however, you may reproduce the sketch for
personal (not commercial) use. Email

custom design.
Special Fabrics/Trims
If you wish to use fabric
other than our usual stocked fabrics or
trims, the Fabric/Trim charge will be
doubled and shopping fee of $15. added to
your total. With a large list of
wonderful suppliers we can usually find
whatever you need for your special garment.

Delivery Time
We strive to complete orders within
2-4 work weeks (weeks containing major
holidays excluded). However during some
busy seasons (Christmas and Easter) the wait
may be longer. Please be sure to get your
order in promptly for these holidays.
Payment
When you place your order,
you may either purchase a deposit through
the button below for a delivery at a future
date or if you want the garment now, you will receive an invoice
for the total. Your final payment is due at
least by the time your garment is ready to
be cut out to hold your place in line.
